Products & Services Offered: Alpine SnowGuards offers a variety of snow guards including: pad style snow guards, pipe style snow guards, snow guards for standing seam roofs, and the ColorGuard™ Snow Retention System. The snow guards are available in painted steel, copper, lead coated copper, plain or painted aluminum, Galvalume, or zinc.
All of these products are designed to prevent damage caused by avalanching snow and ice while enhancing the beauty of any roofing system. The company notes that it is especially important to install them above: entryways, walkways, and gathering spots; parking lots and drive-through areas; expensive landscaping; ground mounted mechanicals; lower roofs, valleys and crickets; and gutters and roof protrusions, such as plumbing vents.
Background: In January 1999 the Alpine SnowGuards division was established as a division of Vermont Slate & Copper Services, Inc., in order to focus exclusively on the design, manufacturing, marketing and sales of the snow guard line. Alpine SnowGuards manufactures both a pad and pipe style snow guard for every roof type. Each of the snow guard designs is based on hands-on knowledge of all roofing materials and their various applications. The designs must be functional above all else. Esthetics of the products are important but have never compromised the ability of the snow guard to perform its function properly.
Alpine SnowGuards has continued to develop its product line at a rapid pace with a new product introduced every four months. The business grew steadily and in October of 2001, Alpine moved into its new facility in Morrisville, VT. The new space allowed for Alpine to install cutting edge machinery and manufacturing techniques that have propelled Alpine to the top of the snow guard industry.
EcoFasten Solar is also a division of Vermont Slate & Copper Services, Inc. Originally a slate roof contracting company, EcoFasten Solar and its sister company Alpine SnowGuards grew out a need for quality rooftop products.
