The Seven Bridges Clubhouse in Platte, MO, totaling 13,857 square feet, utilized a combination of steel, EIFS, stone and stucco. The Builder had several challenges facing him from combining a pre-engineered Star Building with conventional construction to the weather and beyond.

This structure incorporated Star’s SRHI structural system along with 17,321 square feet of MBCI’s Standing Seam Roof panels. The center portion of the structure is made up of structural steel and wood beam construction. Star Buildings was able to support the mezzanine and the wood beam construction at the sidewalls of building one and the endwall of building two.

Erecting this building was a challenge in itself, coordinating all the trades to tie the heavy wood beams into the Star structure. However, the Star pre-engineered structure allowed flexibility to provide support for the non-Star products. The Star structure was used as a major source of economy and support for this three story structure.

Located in Platte City, MO, in the heartland of the U.S., the weather was quite a factor in erecting this building as it took over 18 months to erect.

The Authorized Star Builder is Lamb Construction, Inc. in Lenexa, KS. The Steel Erector was Skyline Builders in Saint Joe, MO and the Architect was Craig Luebbert in Lee’s Summit, MO.
