River Specialties Roofing of Alvin, TX, installed the Terra Cotta-colored Architectural Building Components Permaseam metal roof system that tops the new Bear Creek Day Care Center in Houston's Bear Creek area. The building was designed by Allen Piepenburg, with Legend Homes providing the general contracting duties.

Permaseam is a one-piece snap-together architectural panel with structural capabilities. It features a very rigid, 1-¾” tall seam and a 16-gauge hold down clip that allows for unlimited thermal movement. This panel is ideal for solid deck applications on slopes 2:12 and higher. It is ABC's most popular snap-together roof panel. It is easy to install and provides a worry-free roof. Millions of square feet of Permaseam roofing have been installed in all areas of the country on all types of commercial projects such as schools, churches, retail centers, hotels and office buildings. Permaseam panels can be formed in the factory or on the job site.

For outstanding design, construction and craftsmanship, the project received an ABC Job of the Month award for September 2007.
