One of the requirements for this Hippocrates Health Institute facility was that the roofing product needed to meet Miami-Dade and Florida state approvals. The 22-sided “circular” structure, located in West Palm Beach, FL, has a conical roof configuration.

DECRA Roofing Systems’ Villa Tile stone-coated metal roofing met those requirements, as the panel style of the product performs well in the high wind zone—while also offering outstanding aesthetics and long-life, low-maintenance advantages. Nearly 5,300 sq. ft. of the Venetian Gold colored roofing were used.

The architect for the project was Michael John Docsh, West Palm Beach, FL. The contractor was Willistar Construction Services, Wellington, FL.

“Villa Tile looks very beautiful and is more stable on the roof than clay tiles,” said William Mbwambo of Willistar Construction Services. “We also expect less maintenance problems than clay tiles or asphalt shingles. In addition, Villa Tile gives the appearance of traditional tiles, if that is what a customer is looking for. In fact, people who have seen the roof think it is clay tiles.”

The Hippocrates Health Institute is a leader in the field of natural and complementary health care and education since 1956. According to the Institute’s website, “For a half of a century, the Institute has taught generations how to access the power from their vast inner resources to transform the quality of their lives."
