Beneath the eye-catching exterior of the Boeing New Everett Delivery Center is more than 71,000 sq. ft. of CENTRIA’s MetalWrap™ Series insulated composite backup panels. MetalWrap Series improved the project’s thermal value and provided a second line of defense against the harsh weather conditions of America’s Northwest for the 180,000 sq. ft. Everett, Washington facility.

The Everett Delivery Center (EDC) offers a truly unique experience in office space. Designed to meet the needs of Boeing’s diverse international clientele, the three-story building provides offices and conference rooms for Boeing employees and clients during the lengthy purchase and acquisition process.

One of the key features of the building is the delivery area where Boeing finalizes transactions with clients. With a sweeping view of the tarmac, clients experience their final touch-point of the sales process by getting to see their new aircraft waiting for them on the tarmac In fact, since customers literally depart the EDC in their new aircraft, the facility incorporates airport amenities and functionality, including TSA operations and jetways.

Utilizing CENTRIA’s patented Advanced Thermal and Moisture Protection (ATMP®) technology, MetalWrap’s single panel design provides protection against air and moisture breaches. These breaches can lead to damaging condensation, a reduction in thermal performance and a compromised building envelope. MetalWrap Series was also selected because it reduces installation time, offering a significant advantage to building owners, general contractors and installation teams.

Use of Profile Series panels, including both the Exposed Fasteners and IW Series Concealed Fastener options, helped create the buildings’ clean, unbroken lines and unique visual effects. These panels also have the benefit of being installed quickly and easily for a cost-effective approach. Finally, the panels offer a wide panel width for quick close-in time and may be insulated with MetalWrap to meet many levels of thermal protection. The EcoScreen Perforated Screenwall product provided an interesting aesthetic accent that also helps control light and provides ventilation - all without sacrificing aesthetics.

Together, these CENTRIA metal wall systems helped meet the project’s goals and objectives of creating a unique building with a dynamic and distinct aesthetic.
