Annoor Islamic High School

A new segment of the multi-phase construction plan for the Annoor Islamic High School in Wichita, Kansas included metal building framing, metal roofing and metal wall panels from Varco Pruden Buildings.

Antelope Valley College Agricultural Labs And Greenhouse Building

Morin, a Kingspan Group Company, recently supplied wall panels from its Integrity Series for the new Agricultural Labs and Greenhouse Building at Antelope Valley College. Located in Lancaster, California, the college first opened its doors in September of 1929 with 13 students; today the college provides educational opportunities to 16,000 students. To construct the $7.3 million building, the X-12, XA-12 and XC-12 profiles from Morin’s Integrity Series Wall Panels were applied to the exterior.

Anthropologie - New Orleans

Anthropologie is a specialty retailer that offers a distinct assortment of women’s apparel, accessories, home furnishings and decorative accessories and is owned by parent company Urban Outfitters, Inc. Like its sister locations, the new store in New Orleans capitalizes on an aesthetic that is modern and eclectic with hints of traditional elements. Its sturdy wooden and steel staircase, with a sweeping steel cabling suspension system, serves as a fittingly eye-catching centerpiece. Ronstan Tensile Architecture supplied a complete cable system to uphold this unique suspended staircase.

Apex Friendship Middle School

Apex Friendship Middle School in Apex, North Carolina, opened in the fall of 2018. Not only is it large enough to hold more than 1,400 students, it will serve as a model for future schools in the Wake County Public School system. One of the key cladding materials chosen for the building's construction was insulated metal wall panels from Kingspan.

Apogee Stadium

The University of North Texas’ (UNT) Apogee Stadium – the first newly constructed collegiate football stadium in the nation to earn LEED Platinum certification – opened in Denton, Texas, in September 2011 as the new home of Mean Green football. Recyclable Alucobond® aluminum composite material (ACM) by 3A Composites USA was installed as a unifying design element throughout the stadium.

Apollo Career Center

The renovation and expansion of the Apollo Career Center in Lima, Ohio, was necessary because of steady student body growth since the facility opened in the 1970s. Metl-Span insulated metal panels were an important component in updating the look of the facility and helped the project apply for LEED Gold status.

Apotex Centre

The new Apotex Centre for the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Pharmacy in downtown Winnipeg has become a distinctive campus landmark and provides enhanced connections with the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry as well as the Health Sciences Centre. The bottom two levels of the 100,000 sq. ft. facility were clad with locally harvested aspen, Above that is a two-level volume skinned with RHEINZINK® Shiplap panels.

Appaloosa Branch Library

Located in the upper Sonoran Desert in northern Scottsdale, Arizona, the Appaloosa Library “celebrates the environment in a protected desert setting.” Panels from Morin’s Integrity Series wrap the new building and contribute to achieving the city’s goals of improving the sustainability and aesthetic value of public use facilities. Appaloosa Library is the first building to use PPG's Duranar VARI-Cool “Kaleidoscope” paint system on steel panels. Construction was completed in November 2009.

Apropoe’s Restaurant

Apropoe’s, a new restaurant at Baltimore’s Marriott Waterfront, gives hotel guests and Baltimore residents a place to work and relax. Its contemporary design combines dining, lounge, meeting and bar areas in one great-room-style space, divided into semi-private sections by Banker Wire mesh.

Aqua Pelican Isle Yacht Club

To advance the nautical look and residential feel of the new Aqua condominium at the Pelican Isle Yacht Club in Naples, FL, Curtain Gaines Hall Jones of Tampa, FL topped the 11-story ultra-luxury condominium development with jobsite-manufactured metal roofing from Englert Inc. of Perth Amboy, NJ. Architect Robert Hall cited the metal's ability to resist the effects of prolonged exposure to salt air and water as the reason why the new roof was formed from aluminum rather than steel.

Aquatech International

General Industries, a commercial construction and real estate company based in Charleroi, Pa., has renovated a portion of Aquatech International Corporation’s headquarters in Canonsburg, Pa., utilizing metal systems from Varco Pruden Buildings.

Aquinas College Theatre

Cladding supplier James & Taylor has added the final touches to a new sixth form (age 16 and older) college building in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England, with a shimmering curved façade that provides an animated, high-tech finish. The subtle, reflective face on the £40m project at Aquinas College was created using four different anodized finishes that coat both mirror-polished and highly-etched Senses aluminum (aluminium) tiles.

Arbor Grande

Florida’s new Arbor Grande residential development within the rapidly expanding planned community of Lakewood Ranch offers a number of residents-only features within its gated confines, including the recently added pool and amenity building. This 7,000-sq.-ft. clubhouse and fitness center reinforces the development’s relaxed coastal vibe with a design that draws on Gulf Coast vernacular – including distinctively ribbed metal roofing by Petersen.

Arbor Real

Although it broke ground before Palo Alto, CA's green building ordinance was adopted, the Arbor Real home development includes environmentally sensitive components, not the least of which is its roofing. The DR Horton community used 18-inch, SL1750 Titan standing seam metal roofing from Custom-Bilt Metals exclusively. The color palette is appropriate for the region and building color scheme, and includes Weathered Copper, Parchment, and Zinc Grey. A fourth color, Medium Bronze, was a custom formulation for the project.

Archbishop MacDonald High School Renovation

A 2005 evaluation of Archbishop MacDonald High School in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada found both functional and cosmetic problems with the school’s 40-year-old exterior wall system. In 2010 those issues were addressed with the installation of a new aluminum composite material wall system from VICWEST. The panels were fabricated from ALPOLIC material and installed using VICWEST’s System 3 attachment system.

The boutique hotel’s distinct Northwest feel centers around the selection of Citadel Architectural Products' Envelope 2000® metal composite material (MCM) Reveal (RV) system.

Archer Hotel, Napa, CA

The Archer Hotel, a boutique establishment in Napa, CA, covers 136,000 square feet with 183 guest rooms. It features a 15,000 square-foot deck with an outdoor bar and dining options, a spa, and private outdoor patios. The clean lines and contemporary look of CENTRIA Concept Series panels bring a sense of urban modernity to the building’s main tower, achieving the goal of blending the old world with the new.

Arc'teryx Flagship Store - Vancouver

Several factors influenced the design of the new Arc’teryx flagship store in Vancouver, British Columbia but all led to the prominent use of zinc on the building’s exterior. The retail chain, founded by local climbers in 1989, offers high-performance outdoor equipment and clothing. Custom RHEINZINK panels, installed on a diagonal façade along with natural granite to symbolize the nearby mountain horizon, highlight the retailer’s largest Canadian store.

Arden Realty Building

More than 36,000 sq. ft. of Citadel’s Envelope 2000® metal composite material (MCM) highlight a major renovation of Arden Realty’s office building in Irvine, CA. The panels were finished in Clear Anodized and Shasta White and installed using the Reveal (RV) System, a field-assembled attachment method utilizing perimeter moldings.

Arena Castelão

Palram Americas, a leading manufacturer of polycarbonate and PVC product lines, announces the use of SUNTUF® PRO on the Plácido Castelo stadium, popularly known as the Arena Castelão, in Fortaleza, Brazil. Owned by the Brazilian government and inaugurated in 1973, the stadium was revamped for soccer’s 2014 World Cup.
