"Tiny House Nation" Project Features Metal Roof By ASC Building Products Metal Roof
West Sacramento, CA - ASC Building Products’ 26 gauge Skyline Roofing® in Copper Penny was installed on a project featured on a Tiny House Nation episode which aired April 27, 2015. Tiny House Nation on FYI™ network follows renovation experts and hosts John Weisbarth and Zack Giffin as they travel across America to show off ingenious small spaces and the inventive people who live in them.
Steampunk was the design theme for the tiny house featured on the episode. Steampunk is a retro futurist style which incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by the 19th century and include creative combinations of material like metal, wood and leather.
Stew MacInnes, President of Maximus Extreme™ Tiny Homes, worked with Tiny House Nation on the project. “The Copper Penny color blended in with the exterior wall and was a nice complement. Copper is a common color with Steampunk so you couldn’t of asked for something better,” stated MacInnes “From a tiny house standpoint, a metal roof makes sense.” According to MacInnes, a large percentage of tiny homes are on wheels. “You will have 60 to 65 mile an hour winds,” stated MacInnes, “a roof to withstand the winds and is durable are critical factors.”
ASC Building Products and Roofing Supply Group joined together to participate in this series and supplied 26 gauge Skyline Roofing in Copper Penny. “I was approached by Stew who provides creative innovative ways to customize homes and meet the needs of the end users,” said Trevor Gibbons of Roofing Supply Group. “This was a pet project, and it was the creative side of the roofing industry.” Gibbons helped with the field measurements and worked with the local roof manufacturer ASC Building Products Representative, Robert Berry. “I was thrilled to be part of this project,” stated Berry. “With our product line and the different colors, prints, and textures we offer, home owners have unique options to help them accomplish their dream tiny home.”
