VMZINC® Product AZENGAR Wins 2016 Architizer A+ Popular Choice Awards

Raleigh, NC – VMZINC^®-US, the international brand name of rolled zinc products, has announced that AZENGAR is a Popular Choice Award winner in the metal product category for the 2016 Architizer A+ Awards. For the Popular Choice Awards, the online public voted for for their favorite products in more than 100 categories.

AZENGAR was selected as an award finalist among entries from more than 100 countries. In 2014, VMZINC^® conducted a study with more than 400 international architects and discovered that these professionals were seeking vibrant, rugged textures. To meet this need, VMZINC^® created AZENGAR – the first ever engraved rolled zinc product – using a brand new industrial process. This exclusive, eco-designed surface aspect is the most matte and lightest shade of zinc available on the market. The uneven surface captures the sunlight and creates beautiful, subtle shades of light grey.

In addition to this Popular Choice Award, VMZINC^®’s PIGMENTO product received a special mention in the same metal product category from a jury of industry luminaries. To create PIGMENTO, VMZINC^® added mineral pigments to preweathered zinc to produce an eye-catching palette of possibilities while preserving the zinc’s natural texture and ability to develop a protective patina over time.
