AkzoNobel To Showcase CERAM-A-STAR Finishes At Frame Building Expo 2018

akzonobel-ceram-a-starColumbus, OH -AkzoNobel will participate in the 2018 NFBA Frame Building Expo, which takes place February 14-16 in Columbus, Ohio at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The company will feature its CERAM-A-STAR family of products, which includes CERAM-A-STAR 1050, CERAM-A-STAR Expressions, CERAM-A-STAR Frost, CERAM-A-STAR Ice and CERAM-A-STAR Matte.

CERAM-A-STAR Expressions, newly introduced in 2017, is described as a revolutionary coating technology that engages the senses with the visual appeal of a print and a texture that adds depth and dimension. With stunning effect, CERAM-A-STAR Expressions can be used to create innovative appearances or convincing imitations of natural materials, such as wood, granite or slate. This aesthetic versatility makes Expressions an excellent choice for applications such as siding, roofing, entry doors, and architectural accents.

CERAM-A-STAR Frost and CERAM-A-STAR Ice are wrinkle coatings with peaks and valleys that disperse light to present a soft appearance, imparting distinction and sophistication to metal surfaces. CERAM-A-STAR Matte is a low gloss, low sheen coating which provides a rich, modern look. All CERAM-A-STAR specialty finishes are offered in AkzoNobel’s COOL CHEMISTRY technology, which reduces heat absorption to enhance coating performance and improve energy efficiency.

CERAM-A-STAR 1050 is among the industry’s strongest and best-performing silicone-modified polyester (SMP) paint systems. Available since 2005, it has demonstrated superior durability and weather resistance through years of test data and installations in the field. CERAM-A-STAR 1050 is proven to perform over the long term, so building owners can enjoy years of protection and lasting color.
