Sherwin-Wiliams Coil Coatings has big plans for METALCON, including a presentation on FUSE: Color Trends in the Technical Know-How Learning Center.

Minneapolis, MN – Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings will have a significant and very hands-on presence at METALCON, the most influential metal construction and design event in the world, happening Oct. 18-20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. That includes an educational session from Sherwin-Williams’ color experts, sponsorship of the inaugural METALCON Training Zone, and fun, interactive demos throughout the event. Additionally, Sherwin-Williams’ booth #3021 in the Expo Hall will feature its high-performance metal coating systems.

“The power of color is critical to delivering effective designs in the metal construction industry,” said Kiki Redhead, Global CMF & Trend Manager for Sherwin-Williams, who alongside Brynn Wildenauer, Architectural Color Designer for Sherwin-Williams, will present on FUSE: Color Trends for the Future of Architectural Building Products at the Technical Know-How Learning Center. “The world around us influences color in so many ways. Our FUSE forecast uses real-world data to inspire what we believe will be the go-to colors over the next 3-5 years.”

The presentation will help attendees better understand macro trends as they relate to architecture and manufacturing while walking them through the color evaluation process, explaining what affects color application in building products and addressing which color effects can be used in various coatings.

The FUSE session, which is AIA-approved for continuing education credit, is Oct. 19th at 2:30pm Pacific Time.

New for 2023: Sherwin-Williams Sponsored METALCON Training Zone

Sherwin-Williams developed its MetalVue program to help manufacturers and contractors sell more residential and commercial metal roofs. Knowing the importance of installing a watertight metal roofing system, Sherwin-Williams is sponsoring the first-ever METALCON Training Zone, located at booth #6071 in the Expo Hall.

The Training Zone will provide contractors and remodelers with a hands-on demonstration and training area where they can sharpen their metal skills. The booth, which will be open all three days of the conference, will feature mock-ups of various metals – including painted steel, aluminum, zinc and copper – with trainings conducted in English and Spanish.

In-Booth Demo and Products Showcase

Sherwin-Williams is encouraging conference guests to get their hands dirty and be creative at booth #3021 in the Expo Hall by putting their graffiti skills to the test. Experts will showcase the power of Watts Removal products, which are designed to keep coatings looking fresh by removing graffiti, accidental overspray and more.

As part of its diverse product showcase, the Sherwin-Williams team will feature a collection of the Color of the Year in various effects from 2020 leading up to 2024, “Upward.”

Visitors to the booth also can see Sherwin-Williams’ breadth of coating applications, including Fluropon 70% PVDF Coil Coatings for metal wall panel systems and metal roofing, and for more extreme weather conditions, visitors can learn more about Illumipon FEVE, and Weather XL SMP and Weather XL Crinkle for metal and roof panels. The team will also be introducing the new PolyPREMIER UltraFlex, a multi-purpose polyester coating formulated with exceptional film flexibility.

Additional booth features include the Geocel Phantom™ Metal Roof Sealant and information available on the Sherwin-Williams Roofing Passport, which makes the metal roofing estimation and ordering processes easier and more profitable.
