Harrisburg International Airport (HIA) is the gateway to Harrisburg, Lancaster, York, Hershey, Gettysburg, Carlisle and all of the Central Pennsylvania region. August 29, 2004, saw HIA become the first airport terminal complex in the United States to be completely designed, built, and opened after September 11, 2001.

The 360,000 sq. ft. building features a central high volume with an arching roof form that is the heart of the terminal. CENTRIA’s Structural Standing Seam Roof SRS 3 was the ideal choice for the arching roof. SRS curving can be performed on-site or in the plant providing flexibility and customer satisfaction.

The architect was The Sheward Partnership, Philadelphia, PA. General contractor was Kinsley Construction, York, PA. The CENTRIA dealer was Exterior Metal Products, Inc., Uniontown, PA. The installer was Mohawk Construction/Viking Erection, McMurray, PA and South Sioux City, NE. CENTRIA products used on this project, located in Middletown, PA, were: Structural Standing Seam Roof SRS® 3 – 1.5 in Dove Gray; L2-2 Liner in Arctic Ice; and Econolap ¾”.
