A new complex of buildings, utilizing products from Star Building Systems, was designed by DLR Group for the Skills Center at Northland Pioneer College in Holbrook, AZ. Since welding is the trade taught in this building it was a natural showcase for steel construction.

Star Building Systems provided the building which included design for a 1.3 ton operable partition wall, a second level mezzanine, and a 1.1 ton and 2.2 ton monorail crane system.

The two main buildings create an L shape with a hip-and-valley condition. The roof panels are BattenLok HS in 24 gauge Snow White. There are 10 dormers on one side of the roofs with glass for natural light. The walls of the two main large buildings are covered in 26 gauge PBR metal panel in a Gallery Blue hue.

There are three other buildings located at the inside corner of the two main buildings' intersection. They are open for wind with the same roof panel. The L-buildings also have eave and gable extensions with perforated 24 gauge Artisan L-12 soffit panel in Polar White and PBR 26 gauge liner panel. The end frame of the gable extension has an exposed frame which was painted in a gold tone, which is one of the school colors.

The Star Builder and erector was Image Building Systems of Holbrook, AZ; the architect was DLR Group of Phoenix, AZ; and the general contractor was Whiteriver Construction of Lakeside, AZ.
