Boats are out and people are in at The Beacon at Lighthouse Point, a unique adaptive re-use project near the Baltimore Marine Center marina. When it was constructed in the 1990s, the four-story building that now houses 54 luxury condominiums and a parking garage was a boatel that stored 160 boats.

Developed by Cignal Corp., the condominiums are designed to maximize natural light and offer residents breathtaking views of the Baltimore harbor. The amenities are first class and so is the build quality. It was with quality in mind that Omega-Lite aluminum composite material wall panels were chosen for portions of the newly renovated building’s exterior. The panels, manufactured by Laminators Inc. of Hatfield, PA, were supplied in 4’ x 12’ and 5’ x 12’ modules, and installed using the manufacturer’s System 1 Tight-fit molding system with reveal “H” extrusions. The panels were fabricated on site. Handling their installation was Alliance Roofing of Baltimore.

Units in the building range in size from 935 sq. ft. to over 6,000 sq. ft., with prices between $600,000 and $1 million.
