The new Terrell Performing Arts Center in Terrell, Texas utilizes 29,000 sq. ft. of Metl-Span’s CF Architectural Flat polyurethane foam insulated panels. Finished with Polar White Kynar exterior and Polar White SP interior, the panels provide a clean, contemporary appearance for the state-of-the-arts facility.

The project incorporates several “intricate metal components” according to Brad Welhouse of NOW Specialties, Inc., Carrollton, TX, the installer of the Metl-Span panels. “The project was originally slated to be stucco or EIFS,” reports Welhouse. “Since we had worked with the architect before, we helped in designing the panel joint spacing and finish in order to meet the budget parameters. We also segmented the Metl-Span panels on the front elevation instead of curving them in order to reduce costs. The segmentation allowed the panels to retain the gentle curve that was desired.”

The project was designed by Claycomb Associates, Inc., Dallas.
