Two types of titanium zinc products from RHEINZINK America Inc. were utilized in H+L Architecture's design of Maple Residence Hall, located on the campus of the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. The project was completed in 2011.

The Denver-based design firm incorporated approximately 16,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK prePATINA blue-grey Horizontal Reveal Panels and another 2,700 sq. ft. of prePATINA blue-gray Double Lock Standing Seam Panels on the building, which houses 291 students and features a pair of apartments for Residence Hall Directors.

Significant space on the building's first floor is allocated to common space, including a reception desk area with adjacent offices, student mail area, meeting room, and multi-purpose room with adjacent kitchen. Lower level common areas include a laundry facility, vending and recycling area, bicycle and building storage areas and a ski tuning room. The Hall reflects the character of the campus, using architecture sympathetic to the surrounding structures and landscapes.

Firestone Metal Products of Anoka, MN, was the RHEINZINK material distributor and fabricated the panel systems. Handling the installation was Tecta America Colorado of Denver.
