The interior design for the new Centennial Elementary School in Edmond, OK, relies heavily on extensive curves, radiuses and light coves to provide a friendly, contemporary atmosphere. The school serves 500 students in grades K-5.
Approximately 4,000 linear feet of 3 5/8” 20 gauge Flex-C Trac® was used to frame the project.
The framing was done by Cleaver Drywall and Acoustics, Edmond, OK. “We’ve used Flex-C Trac for virtually all radius work ever since it was introduced,” reports Clifford Cleaver. “It’s much easier to work with than the old way of framing curves. You save half the amount of installation time. It sure was a big help on this job where the curves were so prominent.”
The project was designed by The Stacy Group, Owasso, OK. The general contractor was Gail Armstrong Construction, Inc., Norman, OK.
The Flex-Ability Concepts distributor was Building Specialties, Oklahoma City.
