There’s a sculptural quality to Lake Zurich High School’s Performing Arts Center. Constructed as part of a $35 million capital improvement project three years in the making, the building features 16,500 sq. ft. of Designwall™ Series 2000V insulated metal wall panels from Kingspan Benchmark.
The Performing Arts Center, located on the Lake Zurich High School campus in Lake Zurich, IL, was designed by Legat Architects Inc. of Chicago. Its construction is a mix of red brick and precast concrete plates—to tie it visually to the existing school building—and the smooth-faced Benchmark panels.
Tuschall Engineering of Burr Ridge, IL, installed the insulated panels. They cover expanses of wall ranging in height from 30’ to 55’, and are comprised of 22-gauge face sheets and 24-gauge liners with 2” of polyisocyanurate in between. The panels have a Bright Silver Metallic PVDF paint finish.
Bovis Lend Lease of Chicago was the project’s general contractor.
