Convenience and comfort were two of the biggest objectives in renovating the Women’s Medical Center at Brookwood in Birmingham, AL. As the first hospital in Alabama devoted entirely to women, the hospital was designed exclusively to meet the needs of women and infants. The new 121,000 square foot facility features 19 labor and delivery rooms, one water-birth suite, four operating rooms and 42 private mother-and-baby rooms with modern amenities.

Incorporating over 14,000 square feet of Bright Silver Omega-Lite ACM wall panels by Laminators Incorporated, the architects at Evan Terry Associates designed the four-story, state-of-the-art medical center with an updated and welcoming exterior. Robins & Morton, of Birmingham, AL, installed the ACM panels with the manufacturer’s Rout & Return installation system.

Abrams Architectural Products, of Austell, GA, supplied the panels for the project.
