Established as a tent hospital in 1867 by the Union Pacific Railroad, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY has most definitely come a long, long way. Today, the facility has 222 beds and boasts a staff of more than 2,000. But progress never stops and the hospital's latest growth spurt included many improvements to the existing facilities, as well as the construction of a free-standing cancer center and a bridge connecting it to the hospital. One of the products used to tie all elements of the project together was the Omega-Lite® aluminum composite wall panel system from Laminators Inc. of Hafield, PA.

As with any construction project, there were countless questions along the way—some driven by budget and time constraints. And so it was with the metal wall system. For product and installation recommendations, the project's architect, Davis Partnership Architects of Denver, and the selected installer, Roof Check, also of Denver, reached out to distributor Riddell and Company, of Englewood, CO .

Upon learning the peripheral cladding would be going over exterior insulation board, owner Paul Riddell proposed the Laminators Inc. 1-Piece, Tight-Fit Molding System. Davis Partnership and Roof Check teamed up with general contractor GE Johnson Construction Company, of Denver, who toured Riddell & Co.’s Denver facility to learn more about this specific installation system and how and why it would be the best plan of action.

With agreement reached about Riddell's suggestion, the next order of business was selecting an exterior cladding that would give the project a fresh, clean appearance. Laminators Inc.'s Omega-Lite® aluminum composite panels in a custom Almond color fit the bill. Roof Check installed 18,792 square feet of Omega-Lite to complete its work on the job.
