The new Mower County Justice Center in Austin, MN is a state-of-the-art facility, designed to hold a new court center and a 128-bed detention center. Built on a two-square block site that had once held several commercial buildings, the 40,000 square foot jail and court center was completed in the fall of 2010. Quality Metalcrafts, LLC / AMERICLAD® supplied 5,000 square feet of its AMERICLAD® AC-3000 1/8” aluminum wall panels for the exterior of the entryway and lobby of the new facility.

Aluminum plate panels are recognized not only for their aesthetic features, but also for their durability. They are a perfect fit for the heavy foot traffic of a public facility, such as the courthouse. The AMERICLAD® AC-3000 aluminum plate wall panel system is a wet joint system that includes a mechanically fastened clip attachment with exposed caulking at the panel joints, as well as welded and ground smooth corners for weatherproofing the system. The panels are finished in a Silver Metallic Kynar finish.

The installer for the project was Minnkota Building Products, located in Osseo, MN. The architect was KKE Architects, Minneapolis, MN.
