Expectant parents have several options when it comes to delivering a healthy baby. Those choices are now under one roof at Nash Women’s Center in Rocky Mount, NC. The state-of-the-art birthing center features the latest technology and trends in healthcare. This concept is reflected by its exterior design with the use of metal wall panels from Dri-Design.

“Healthcare facilities have some of the most stringent design and construction requirements to ultimately ensure the health and safety of patients. Metal wall panels can be seen on healthcare structures throughout the country because they create a desired clean, healthy and sustainable design that leads to a healing environment,” notes Brad Zeeff, president of Dri-Design.

Precision Walls Inc., Greenville, NC, installed 6,214 square feet of 0.080-inch aluminum wall panels in four different shades of copper anodized. The copper anodized panels are a cost-effective way to capture the warm glow of copper penny tones with the long-lasting durability of an anodized finish. Subtle variations of the copper penny color add depth and character from panel to panel.

Architect Freeman White, Charlotte, NC, is a unique firm that specializes in healthcare projects, particularly women’s health. “Healthcare is an ever-changing and evolving market with very specific needs,” Zeeff notes. “With this center, Freeman White designed a welcoming space—that starts with our copper anodized panels on the outside—for expectant parents to enjoy one of the greatest moments in life and feel prepared for any complications that could arise.”

The 47,000-square-foot center has triage/consult rooms, labor and delivery suites, a C-section room, postpartum rooms and private special-care nursery rooms.

The 100% recyclable panels can be manufactured from a variety of materials, including zinc, copper, stainless steel, and painted and anodized aluminum. Panels are available in any Kynar color and are sized and detailed to meet the specific requirements of each project. Unique profiles include: Shadow, Tapered, Perforated, Embossed, Textured, Dri-Design® with Corian® EC, Imaging Technology and Inspire.
