Destin Commons is among the most popular places to shop in Florida’s Emerald Coast region. And it’s no wonder. The three-year-old, 56-acre development has just about anything a shopper could want. Anchored by Bass Pro Worldwide Sportsmen and a 14-screen stadium-style movie theater, Destin commons offers open air shopping, fine dining and plenty of entertainment.

Destin Commons was designed by Dougherty Schroeder & Associates of Alpharetta, GA, and boasts more than 600,000 sq. ft. of retail space divided among some 80 retailers and restaurants. The architecture of the development features a mix of compatible styles, including Spanish, Colonial, Caribbean, French and Mediterranean flavors. Helping to tie those various looks together is standing seam metal roofing from Englert Inc. of Perth Amboy, NJ. It was used in limited amounts on nearly half the buildings, including Destin Common’s iconic clock tower.

The Englert profiles—including Series 1300, Series 2000 Snap-On and Series 2500—were rollformed at the jobsite and installed by Destin’s Southeast Contractors. All three systems are compliant with wind uplift requirements specified by the Florida and Miami-Dade County Building codes.
