Metal Worx Systems Inc. of Plain City, OH, shop-fabricated the 6,100 sq. ft. of SS2016 standing seam metal roofing utilized on the athletic field concession building at Olentangy High School in Olentangy, OH. The panel system was installed by Otic Construction.
The material from which the panels were formed was COOLR® roofing metal from Sheffield Metals of Sheffield Village, OH. COOLR® roofing metals are available in a variety of colors and finishes, but in the case of the concession stand, 24-gauge Galvalume-coated steel in a Teal Patina color was chosen.
COOLR® metals are sustainable and energy efficient, and meet the performance criteria of the EPA's Energy Star program. Sheffield Metals stocks COOLR® metals in more than two dozen colors, including acrylic-coated Galvalume, and offers the material in a variety of gauges, widths and substrates for low- and steep-slope applications. The metal features 25%-minimum recycled content and is 100% recyclable.
