Hand-crafted copper elements now adorn St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller, Texas. Fabricated by CopperCraft, these custom design elements for a pavilion and sanctuary doors are in keeping with the Mission-style architecture frequently found in Texas.

Copper accents enhance the new outdoor pavilion located on the grounds between the church and the parochial school. A custom-fabricated 15" double-lock copper standing seam roof with 1" ribs covers the octagonal pavilion. Inspired by an existing CopperCraft design, the cupola was created specifically for the site. CAD renderings were used to design the aluminum frame that was subsequently covered with a plywood substrate, waterproofed, and clad in copper.

Over the years, the sanctuary’s oversized wooden doors began to decay from exposure. Rather than replacement, copper sheeting was applied to their exterior to preserve, enhance and extend their life. The doors were planed and prepped so that the 20-ounce copper could seamlessly meld to their profile. Now adorned by a copper surface, the newly clad doors welcome worshipers to the main sanctuary.

The architect was Scott Martsolf Architecture of Fort Worth, TX. The metal installer was Clark Louver Company Inc. of Fort Worth, TX. These updates were completed in the winter of 2015.
