Robert Hunnicutt wanted a metal roof installed on the home he personally built. Scott Myers from Meyers Roofing Corporation, who was contracted for the job, recommended ATAS International Inc.’s metal roofing panels. ATAS International Inc.’s Dutch Seam was chosen.
Dutch Seam is a continuous standing seam panel with integral seam. There are no caps to install. Mechanical field seaming of the panel is not required. Panels are snapped onto the previous installed panel, and fasten the clip. The panel width can be 11”, 15”, or 19 ¼”. The panels used on the Hunnicutt residence were 24 gauge G90 galvanized steel and were 15” wide. The seams on the Dutch Seam Panel are 1- ½”. Dutch Seam is available in 30 standard colors, with a KYNAR 500 R of HYLAR 5000 R finish, and can be either smooth or embossed.
The Hunnicutt Residence was completed with a smooth, black Dutch Seam panel. Over 4,900 square feet of metal material was used on this project.
The roofing distributor was Allied Building Products, Richmond, VA.
