AWIP’s ST40 insulated metal panel is a popular selection when economy and a flat appearance are among the insulated wall panel requirements. The panel is available in 36" or 40" widths, and in thicknesses ranging from 2" (R-16) to 4" (R-32).

In 1992, Hurricane Andrew swept over Florida and caused more than $16 billion in total insured damages. Consequently, over the ensuing two decades the state of Florida has legislated stringent building codes to withstand potential storm damage.

These building standards are commonly considered the most demanding in the country, understandable in light that Andrew’s estimated wind speeds reached as high as 165 mph.
