C.R. Laurence Becomes AIA Continuing Education Provider

Will Present Program On Show Floor At AIA Convention In Chicago

AIA_CEU_logoLos Angeles, CA – C.R. Laurence Company, one of the industry's leading architectural product manufacturers, is partnering with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) to bring new continuing education courses to architects nationwide and at the 2014 AIA National Convention in Chicago.

To that end, C.R. Laurence has become an approved provider of AIA CES programming, with course offerings on Aluminum Framed Storefronts and Frameless Glass Railing Systems. Additional programming is in the works and new courses will be added as they become available. These new courses address key performance criteria and design considerations, ensuring architects remain current on the industry's constantly evolving standards and best practices.

Each C.R. Laurence CES course has been tailored to meet the AIA's special Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) guidelines, which address technical and professional subjects including building systems, preservation, design, construction documents, legal, and environmental materials and methods that safeguard buildings and their inhabitants.

"We are thrilled to partner with the AIA's Continuing Education System on providing architects with information that not only strengthens their knowledge base, but also meets their required continuing education credit requirements," says Lloyd Talbert, President of C.R. Laurence. "We are using our more than 60 years of experience and strong technical skills to improve the architectural community's awareness of advanced building solutions that can ultimately improve health, safety, efficiency, and project timeline concerns."

This summer, C.R. Laurence will serve as an official educational sponsor at the 2014 AIA Convention in Chicago where the company is scheduled to present a CES course for architects on the show floor. This, in addition to CRL's ongoing nationwide CES courses, position C.R. Laurence as a committed AIA partner that assists with their vision of being a trusted resource for AIA members in their service to society.
