Alucoil Expands Into Australia With New Plant

Manning, SC – Grupo Aliberico, the parent company of South Carolina based Alucoil North America, has announced the establishment of an aluminum composite material manufacturing plant in Campbellfield, Victoria, just outside the city of Melbourne, Australia. As part of an international expansion plan begun in 2010, this latest step positions larson by Alucoil® as a leading global metal composite brand with manufacturing plants in Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania.

The Minister for Manufacturing for the Australian state of Victoria, David Hodgett, announced the arrival of the company at a formal reception, which was attended by Grupo Aliberico CEO Clemente Gonzalez Soler, Alucoil Australia’s Commercial Director Andrew Nielsen, and other representatives of government. Hodgett noted Alucoil’s new manufacturing plant is the first of its type in Oceania.

“We have been impressed by the level of professionalism and support in our close interactions with the Government of Victoria, which has been one of the primary factors in choosing Melbourne as the location for Alucoil's headquarters in the Asia Pacific," said Gonzalez Soler. "We expect our premium brand larson by Alucoil® to be quickly adopted by the sophisticated local industry, thereby becoming a reference for new customers in the broader Asia Pacific region.”

Alucoil North America and Alucoil Australia are part of Grupo Alibérico, a family owned Spanish multinational manufacturer of aluminum products, with global sales exceeding $300 million. It has industrial operations on four continents employing over 1,000 people globally and generating sales in over 45 countries.
