ClarkDietrich™ Building Systems Expands Product Offering With Acquisition Of TRAKLOC® Steel Framing

West Chester, OH - ClarkDietrich Building Systems announces that it has become the exclusive worldwide manufacturer of TRAKLOC® products. ClarkDietrich has acquired the machinery, equipment and intellectual property necessary to produce the TRAKLOC Steel Framing System from TSF Systems, LLC., a Sacramento-based California company.

Production of the entire line of TRAKLOC products will be phased into ClarkDietrich's manufacturing facility in Sacramento, Calif.

TRAKLOC Steel Framing is a cold-formed steel framing system for use in non-load bearing interior partition walls in commercial construction. The TRAKLOC system has an ICC-ES code approved stud-to-track connection where the telescoping stud twists and locks into the top and bottom track without the use of mechanical fasteners. This patented feature allows contractors to adjust the length accordingly for variances in the slab, thereby eliminating the task of measuring and cutting studs on the jobsite.

"We are committed to delivering innovative products and services that help contractors and architects do their job more efficiently, and the acquisition of TRAKLOC is a perfect fit to help us achieve this objective," said Bill Courtney, president and CEO of ClarkDietrich Building Systems. "We are excited to add this unique product, which offers one-of-its-kind performance features that meet or exceed building code requirements, while also providing the benefit of time and labor savings."

TRAKLOC's telescoping feature also allows for inter-floor live-load and seismic induced deflection movement in the stud without the need for a special deep leg or slotted deflection track. TRAKLOC is design-listed by INTERTEK and approved for use in one-hour and two-hour fire-rated walls. TRAKLOC steel framing members come in standard widths of 2 ½”, 3 5/8” and 6”.

In addition to integrating the TRAKLOC product lines into its Sacramento manufacturing facility, ClarkDietrich also has future plans to expand its production capabilities in several other plants across the U.S. to meet increased customer demand.

"We are excited to increase our capacity in North America in terms of customer support, logistics, infrastructure and production capabilities; from coast to coast this increased footprint will be beneficial to all of our customers," added Courtney.
