Therm-All Insulation Provides Commercial Energy Code Assistance Through New Blog

Cleveland, OH - Therm-All Insulation announces that its new blog, “The Code Man”, went live recently. The blog, written by Therm-All’s resident code expert and District Manager Bill Beals, aims to provide metal building industry players with tips for better understanding commercial energy codes, as well as all the latest code updates.

The first post is called “Top Takeaways from My MBCEA Conference Presentation: Understanding Commercial Energy Codes Part 1” and outlines the following key points from Beals’ MBCEA presentation in May:

1. The different between ASHRAE and IECC

2. The key components of energy codes

3. Where builders can locate the roof and wall assemblies for metal building systems

Part 2 of the post, which will be published in July 2014, includes tips for ensuring code compliance, including a breakdown of the prescriptive assemblies from the 2012 IECC.
