Memphis, TN - Varco Pruden Buildings announces that Tim Gwaltney has been named Field Services Manager for the Western region. In this new role, Gwaltney is responsible for providing the VP Builder network with field assistance, product and field training, warranty inspections, and providing feedback to VP to help eliminate future field issues.

Gwaltney has worked on more than 1,750 projects in his 37 years of industry experience. He is a third-generation ironworker. As a teenager, he learned how to erect steel by working with his father on weekends and summer breaks. He worked in his father’s business for 15 years as a Superintendent, managing as many as 50 to 60 steel workers at times. In 1995, Gwaltney started his own business, Cool Erectors. The first 12 years in business were mainly steel erection, but in 2007, he became a Varco Pruden Builder. Since then, he has been on several different boards including the Product Erector Council.

“I couldn’t be happier about Tim joining the Western Region team,” said Joey Ledbetter, Western Region General Manager. “He brings experience and a proven track record that will be valuable to Varco Pruden and supporting our Builder network.”

Gwaltney is based outside of Sacramento, Calif. supporting the VP Turlock office and reports to Mike Riley, Customer Service Manager for Western region.
