Chicago, IL – The Metal Construction Association (MCA) has added five new companies to its membership. Hunter Panels, Intertek-ATI, Metal Design Systems Inc., PRI Construction Material Technologies and River Supply Inc. have joined MCA’s ranks of about 75 member companies with specialties in the metal construction industry.

Hunter Panels is an industry leader in Polyiso roof insulation panels and insulation for commercial wall applications. The company operates seven state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities throughout North America.

Intertek-ATI provides product quality and safety solutions to a wide range of industries through a network of 1,000 laboratories and offices around the world. Services include testing, inspecting and certifying products to improve performance, gain efficiencies in manufacturing and logistics, overcome market constraints and reduce risk.

Metal Design Systems Inc. is a national specialty metals fabricator based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The company provides innovative, engineered systems, as well as design and development resources to support building designs and creative concepts. “Metal Design Systems joined the MCA in order to have a voice in the industry regarding codes and standards by collaborating with other leading MCM fabricators, and to help promote growth and quality of MCM products and systems,” said David Sauerwein of Metal Design Systems.

PRI Construction Material Technologies is an independent, accredited testing laboratory dedicated to the construction materials industry. Based in Tampa, Florida, the company provides custom-designed research programs, quality assurance inspections and litigation support.

River Supply Inc. is a premier supplier of ACM (Aluminum Composite Materials) products, roofing supplies and construction materials. Based in Central Pennsylvania, the company serves clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. “River Supply chose to join the MCA because we hold our quality of product and customer service in a very high regard, and feel these are similar goals of other MCA members. We plan to gain further knowledge in the field of metal construction from fellow members and speakers at association meetings and events.  River Supply is very excited about the opportunity to be a part of such a great association,” said Joseph Nolan of River Supply Inc.

MCA member companies benefit from participation in association activities that focus on research, codes and standards, market development, and technical programs. The association works to increase the use of metal materials in construction by educating the building and design communities about the benefits of metal.

MCA members represent a broad scope of companies including metal roof, wall panel, shingles and coatings manufacturers, coil coaters and metal producers, distributors, equipment and accessories manufacturers, energy insulation system manufacturers and MCM fabricators.
