Allentown, PA - ATAS International Inc. announces that Cindy Galiszanski, Technical Advisor, has recently passed the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) exam. She joins a long list of ATAS professionals that have achieved the ranks of CDT and other accreditations.

ATAS company currently has 13 CDTs, one CCPR (Certified Construction Product Representative), two LEED AP BD+Cs (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional Building Design + Construction), and three LEED Green Associates. As well, the MCA (Metal Construction Association) has recently introduced a new course on metal roof installation, and two employees have already completed the program, becoming trained metal roof installers. ATAS was involved with the MCA in the development of this new certification program since its inception.

According to CSI, the CDT program provides a comprehensive overview for anyone who writes, interprets, enforces, or manages construction documents. Project architects, specifiers, contractors, contract administrators, material suppliers, and manufacturers' representatives are all realizing the advantages of being Construction Documents Technologists. By being able to understand and interpret written construction documents, CDTs perform their jobs more effectively. Also, by understanding the roles and relationships of all participants, CDTs improve communication among all members of the construction team.

Certificate and certification program materials are a component of the CSI Corporate Partner program. ATAS is proud to be the second company to become a CSI Corporate Partner in 2010 and there are now over 70 companies participating. ATAS sales professionals across the country are active in their local CSI chapters, as well as at the regional and Institute levels within the organization.

Jim Bush, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ATAS, said, “We are a strong supporter of increasing our employees’ industry knowledge and encourage their involvement in industry associations. Any training that ATAS can provide to our employees will result in development of their professional skills and will also have a direct impact on the quality of service we are able to provide to our customers.”
