Allentown, PA - ATAS International Inc., a leading manufacturer of metal roofing, wall and ceiling panels, honored its 2015 Project of the Year winners at a recent awards banquet. The annual competition recognizes projects in which ATAS products have been incorporated into the design of the building.

An independent panel of judges reviewed photos of all the projects submitted throughout the year and chose three winners for each of the four categories: commercial roofs, commercial walls, residential roofs, and residential walls.

Receiving the first place honors for commercial roofs was the Delp Chiropractic building in Mount Airy, NC. Black Techo Tile panels were used on this building, which was designed by Grover T. Starbuck, AIA. The panels were installed by Pendleton Enterprises and were purchased through ABC Supply.

For the commercial walls category, the Bay Area Church in Annapolis, MD took first place. The Champagne Versa-Lok and Medium Bronze Versa-Seam wall panels were installed by York Roofing and were purchased through Brock Associates. The church was designed by Waldon Studio Architects.

Taking the first place award in the residential roofs category was a private residence located in Laughlintown, PA. Classic Bronze Monarch Batten Seam panels were used on the roof of this home, designed by Susan Warner Architect. The panels were purchased through Cassady Pierce Company and installed by Carpenter Construction Inc.

The residential walls category first place winner was a private residence located in Philadelphia, PA. Designed by Toner Architects, Coppertone Metafor panels were installed on the walls by Red Oak Development Group. The panels were purchased through Universal Supply.

Dick Bus, President of ATAS, stated, “We received many entries for the project of the year competition. It’s great to see the architects’ design creativity and aesthetics achieved with the use of our products, as well as the quality installation by the contractors. Each year I look forward to honoring the architects, contractors and distributors who were involved in the award-winning projects.”
