CFSEI Hosting Webinar On Updated Edition Of Cold-Formed Steel Framing Design Guide

Washington, DC - The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI) will host a webinar on “Back to Basics: Cold-Formed Steel Framing Design Guide, AISI D110-16” on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. EDT. This is the seventh webinar in CFSEI’s “Back to Basics” series and is designed for architects, engineers, building officials and contractors. Participants are eligible for 1.5 PDHs.

The webinar will:

• Provide a review of the recently completed AISI D110-16, Cold-Formed Steel Framing Design Guide, 2016 Edition. This new edition reflects the design requirements of AISI S100-12, North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members, 2012 Edition and AISI S240-15, North American Standard for Cold-Formed Steel Structural Framing, 2015 Edition.

• Discuss a new design example for ledger framing.

• Include information on other design examples available through the CFSEI Technical Notes series.

AISI D110-16 and AISI S100-12 are available for purchase at the AISI Steel Store, https://shop.steel.org/c/22/cold-formed-steel-design. AISI S240-15 is available for free download at www.aisistandards.org.
