AAMA Announces New Fundamentals Of Fenestration Educational Program

AAMA-logo-facebookSchaumburg, IL - The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) has announced the introduction of a new offering from the association’s education program. The "Fundamentals of Fenestration" provides basic terminology and standards for windows, doors and skylights, covering both residential and light commercial products, as well as commercial and architectural applications. The online course is designed for use by several audiences, as well as qualifying for continuing education credits.

Professionals New to the Industry

This course serves as an effective introduction to the FenestrationMasters® program, especially for the Associate level. Candidates will learn a basic working vocabulary and become familiar with functions and requirements of fenestration products.

Experienced Professionals

Industry veterans can learn specific terminology used in AAMA educational courses in order to avoid confusion among regional and other differences in the way some terms may be used.

Homeowners

The information in this course may also be useful to consumers in the selection and purchase of windows, doors and skylights in order to improve basic working knowledge of these products.

Outside Accreditations

Upon successful completion of this course, one hour of continuing education credit can be earned, as recognized by the following organizations:

• American Institute of Architects (AIA) ­

course also qualifies for Health Safety Welfare (HSW) credit

• International Code Council (ICC)

"Fundamentals of Fenestration" may be purchased from the AAMA online store. Three ­month unlimited access to the course costs $40 for AAMA members and $80 for non­members.
