Longview, WA - The Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) announces the appointment of Renee Ramey as the organization's new Executive Director. Ramey replaces Bill Hippard, who has retired. Ramey will be responsible for the daily management of the MRA's ongoing North American marketing program to increase metal roofing's residential market share. The group also announces a free March 2 seminar that it is offering during the 2017 International Roofing Expo (IRE) in Las Vegas.

Ramey brings more than twenty years of marketing and management experience to the position. Following a long tenure with Steelscape, Ramey most recently served as the Marketing and Human Resources Manager for Cascadia Metals.

"Renee has a solid metal industry and marketing background that will allow her to make an immediate contribution to the organization," stated Dick Bus, president of the MRA. "We also thank Bill Hippard for his many years of service to the Metal Roofing Alliance. During his roles as both a board member and executive director, the MRA grew the residential re-roofing market share to 11% in 2016."

Ramey received a BS degree in marketing and management from the University of Oregon. She is a LEED certified associate and is also active in numerous industry organizations, including the Association of Women in the Metals Industries; Pacific Northwest Steel Fabricators Association and the American Marketing Association.

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to help the MRA reach the next level. Working with our members, I am confident we will continue driving toward sustainable and consistent market growth," commented Ramey.
