VMZINC® Promotes Maria Jose-Iorio To National Sales Manager For North America

Raleigh, NC – VMZINC^®-US, the international brand name of rolled zinc products, announces that Maria Jose-Iorio will be transferring from the VMZINC’s Sydney, Australia office to their North American headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she will assume the role of national sales manager. In her role, Jose-Iorio will be responsible for increasing sales of VMZINC products throughout North America via direct collaboration with installers, architects, general contractors, owners and an extensive network of independent sales representatives across the continent.

With more than 25 years of experience in both architecture and management, Jose-Iorio has been a valued member of the VMZINC family since 2005 when she started as regional sales manager in Sydney. She quickly rose to the position of general manager for Australia and New Zealand. In this role, Jose-Iorio managed the day-to-day operations of the regional office, successfully developing the VMZINC brand and forging rewarding long-term business relationships with clients and distributors throughout the region.

Prior to working with VMZINC, Jose-Iorio worked for several years as an architect in Argentina. She then joined UNESCO where she worked as an architect in the education unit assisting in the design of schools, community centers, and other educational facilities in developing countries. Jose-Iorio has also worked directly with commercial and residential clients, providing high-end interior design services.

Jose-Iorio earned a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Belgrano School of Architecture in Argentina and a master’s degree in company organization and business management from the University of Buenos Aires. She recently completed an advanced leadership program through Women and Leadership in Australia. Jose-Iorio is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
