Change Orders And Cold-Formed Steel To Be Topic Of CFSEI Webinar On February 22, 2018
Washington, DC - The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI) will host a webinar on “Change Orders and Cold-Formed Steel” on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. ET. The webinar is designed for architects, engineers, building officials and contractors. Participants are eligible for 1.5 PDHs.
The webinar will cover several relevant topics, including:
• Issues that lead to change orders,
• How architects, engineers and general contractors can avoid them,
• How carpenters and subcontractors can benefit from them, and
• A review of contract language and documents that can influence change orders.
The webinar will be conducted by Don Allen, P.E., Director of Engineering for Super Stud Building Products Inc. He oversees product development, testing, engineering and technical services. Allen has worked in the cold-formed steel framing industry since 1990 as a cold-formed steel specialty engineer, engineer-of-record, industry representative, and trade association technical director. He is chairman of the Education Subcommittee of the American Iron and Steel Institute’s Committee on Framing Standards and Committee on Specifications. He was the 2013 recipient of the CFSEI Distinguished Service Award.
