MBCEA Announces Two New Members To National Board

Bethlehem, PA – The Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) has announced the election of C. Tucker Cope Jr. and David Bergholz to the association’s National Board, effective January 1, 2019.

C. Tucker Cope Jr.

Cope Jr. is a Professional Engineer and president/owner of C. Tucker Cope & Associates Inc., a design/build company headquartered in Columbiana, OH. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Case Western Reserve University. His professional career began as a design engineer for American Buildings Company. He later joined C. Tucker Cope & Associates, a metal building contracting company founded by his father, and helped to grow that business into a one-stop Design-Build corporation. In 2014, he and a fellow engineer formed Engineering Direct, LLC, which handles the engineering design aspect for his contracting business. Under Cope Jr.’s leadership, C. Tucker Cope & Associates has been named the Top Volume Builder - Atlantic Division for American Buildings Company multiple times and has earned numerous Excellence in Design honors.

Cope Jr. is a member of MBCEA, ASCE, and holds his license in five states.

David Bergholz

Bergholz is Customer Service Manager with Chief Industries. He has spent 40 years with the company, all of it working for the Buildings Division. Most of his job experience has been technical. He started in the Drafting department as computers were coming on line and has worked in Computer Programming, CADD, Drafting Management, R&D, and presently in Customer Service.

Bergholz has served on the Metal Building Manufacturers Association’s Construction and Technical committees. He is a past member of the Roof Consultants Institute.

In announcing the results of voting by its contractor membership, MBCEA President Keith Wentworth said: “We are blessed to have so many members willing to step up and take a more active role in the leadership of the MBCEA. On behalf of membership and the Board, I thank all the candidates for their commitment to the MBCEA and welcome Tucker and Dave to the Board.”
