Eufaula, AL - American Buildings Company (ABC) has announced the winners of its 2019 Excellence in Design Awards. The competition is designed to highlight the diverse application and expansion of the metal building construction industry. Each project showcases new designs that illustrate innovative metal system construction.

Each year, ABC hosts the Excellence in Design Awards competition for all authorized ABC builders and Architectural Metal Systems (AMS) roofers. ABC works with builders and roofers in helping them transform ideas into actual designs.

Project winners were chosen, by neutral judges, from each of the following categories: Church/Religious Centers; Commercial; Government/Institutional; Green; Manufacturing/Industrial; Office; Recreation; Retail; Roofing; Self Storage; Special Projects; Transportation and Warehouse/Distribution.

Also recognized in each category were winners, first and second runners-up, and honorable mentions. The winners from each category were then nominated to compete for the top award: 2019 Building of the Year.

“The Excellence in Design Awards allow our Builders and roofers the opportunity to be recognized for their innovation in the metal construction industry said,” Carlie Smith, Marketing Director for Nucor Buildings Group. “We are continually impressed by the level of talent and quality our Builders deliver on each of their projects. The diverse range of buildings submitted for the Excellence in Design program is truly inspiring and demonstrates the versatility of ABC metal buildings and products.”
