MRA Offers Free Resources To Help Homeowners Make Informed Roofing Decisions

Portland, OR —Homeowners spend billions re-roofing their homes, with the residential roofing market predicted to hit $8.2 billion in 2020 (based on 2018 research by FMI).

Today metal roofing represents about 15 percent of the overall roofing market in the U.S. and Canada.  And, thanks to metal roofing’s benefits which include greater long-term durability and reduced environmental impacts, there is more consumer interest (and questions) than ever before about metal roofing. 

“Getting a new roof is expensive. It’s not something most people want to do over and over again and yet the most popular type of roofing material in the U.S. only lasts about half as long as other options,” said Renee Ramey, Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) Executive Director. “Better informed homeowners make good home improvement investments, which is why education and helping ensure consumers have greater access to information and the most up-to-date tools is a top priority for us.”
