MBMA Announces Award Winners At Annual Meeting
Cleveland, OH - The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) presented several awards at its Annual Meeting, held December 3-4 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Industry Advocate Awards
Seven companies earned Industry Advocate awards. These are presented to member companies that are exceptionally involved in enhancing MBMA initiatives. Their activities include participation in MBMA committees, advocacy efforts to enhance the metal building
systems industry, attendance at MBMA educational and promotional events and safety program participation. Gold, silver and bronze-level awards were presented for meeting one of three levels of involvement. Bay Insulation Systems, S-5! Attachment Solutions,
Silvercote, LLC and Expi-Door Systems all earned gold recognition. Therm-All, Inc. and Konecranes earned silver recognition, while Metallic Products Corp. earned bronze recognition.
“This program recognizes those companies that provide MBMA and the entire metal building industry with their time, expertise and advocacy,” said Tony Bouquot, MBMA general manager. “It is because of the commitment of these members that
MBMA has become the leader in promoting and enhancing the metal building systems industry.”
Innovation Award
Additionally, Robert Tiffin of Silvercote, LLC was recognized as the 2019 MBMA Innovation award winner for his proposal to create an MBMA Architect Committee. “Robert Tiffin has been tireless in his volunteer support of MBMA and in promoting our
efforts to broaden the acceptance of metal building systems,” said Bouquot. “His idea for a new architect committee forges a thoughtful and commendable path to expand our outreach to the greater architectural community.”
“A recent survey of architects undertaken by MBMA showed that many design professionals don’t truly understand the versatility, creativity and adaptability of metal building systems,” added incoming MBMA Chair Steve Browning. “By
adding an architect committee, we can meet their questions head on and build strong relationships with architectural leaders.”
