Lewisville, TX – Metl-Span has introduced a pair of new backup
wall systems: the BW Universal System™ and the BW Stretch System™. Utilizing insulated metal panels, these new systems provide superior air, water, thermal and vapor protection in an all-in-one barrier component.
According to the company, both introduce new standards for cost savings, design integrity and sustainability. The BW Universal System can be horizontally installed with nearly any type of exterior rainscreen system and can span up to 24 inches on center.
The BW Stretch System can be vertically installed with multiple types of exterior rainscreen systems and can span up to 6 feet on center. Both new systems are easily and quickly installed in a single step, eliminating the need for multiple work crews,
expediting close-in/dry-in building times and reducing the likelihood of improper installation.
With single-component construction, the BW systems are a vast improvement over traditional multi-component wall construction. The all-in-one system means less coordination, a single source of responsibility and fewer interface issues, all of which add
up to faster construction and a more energy-efficient building.
