PPG And DuraPaint Team Up To Battle COVID-19 Pandemic
Pittsburgh, PA - PPG and DuraPaint Industries, a Scarborugh, Ontario applicator of liquid spray coatings, are working to provide bed dividers paramount in the construction of the Joseph Brant Hospital pop-up, 93-bed COVID-19 pandemic response unit in
Burlington, Ontario.
The unit will house patients with mild to moderate symptoms of the coronavirus, who would overwhelm the current hospital during the expected virus peak during mid- to late-April.
Durapaint and PPG are coating the metal dividers with PPG’s Duracron in white - a one-coat thermosetting acrylic baking enamel providing corrosion resistance, film integrity, color control and impact and mar resistance - along with other parts of
the project.
