MBCEA Announces 2020 Building Of The Year Award Winners

Bethlehem, PA - With COVID-19 (the 2019 Novel Coronavirus) prompting the switch of this year's Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association annual meeting from an in-person event to a virtual conference, the MBCEA has decided to announce the winners of its 2020 Building of the Year Awards competition without the usual awards ceremony.

According to Sasha Demyan, MBCEA Executive Director, the association had nearly two dozen entries vying for recognition in three different categories. Of that group, seven were ultimately selected for awards, including Air Canada Hangar 5, which was named the 2020 Building of the Year. The Mississauga, Ontario, Canada project’s winning contractor was Scott Steel Erectors Inc. of Hamilton, Ontario. In recognition of their award, Scott Steel Erectors, along with other winners, will be presented with plaques at next year’s MBCEA conference.
