New Universal Bypass Clip Introduced By ClarkDietrich

West Chester, OH - ClarkDietrich is expanding its ClipExpress portfolio with a new Universal Bypass Clip to attach exterior curtain wall studs to the building structure, whether the design calls for a deflection connection (shown in left photo) for vertical movement independent of the cold-formed steel framing or a rigid connection.

The clips are available in 12-gauge and 14-gauge, in standard lengths of 6", 8”, 10” and 12” and are ideal for medium to larger standoff conditions. Universal Bypass Clips offer fast, one-piece universal installation—no left or right handed clips. They can be installed quickly with screws, welds or powder-actuated fasteners, and provide adjustable standoff to ensure a plumb wall plane. When used for a deflection application, Universal Bypass Clips allow vertical movement of up to 3" (1-1/2" up and 1-1/2"down). Proprietary deflection screws are provided with each clip to ensure friction-free sliding.
