Sheet Metal Supply Expands Production With New Equipment Purchases

SMS' equipment purchases add new capabilities for the growing company.

Grayslake, IL — Sheet Metal Supply, a leading fabricator/supplier of roofing perimeter systems, metal roofing and façades, has purchased a pair of new machines that will provide the capability to produce heavier, longer and more precise product for the glazing industry, as well as more precise custom substructural components for the façade products it already produces.

The new machines are a Safan Darley E-Brake 130T-4100 and an AccurShear 625020.

The new E-brake allows for servo-electronic bending with an E for even bending and offers 30 percent higher productivity and up to 50 percent energy savings with lower CO2 emissions. The AccurShear features a 20-foot blade and can shear metal up to .25 inches thick.
