CornellCookson's new StoreDefender™ Door is assembled with tamper-resistant fasteners and incorporates a number of design features that prevent entry by mobs or other would-be intruders.

It is more rigid and robust compared to traditional security doors and is engineered to prevent theft and property damage. The lift and impact resistant StoreDefender™ provides protection against mobs and riots and can be retrofitted into almost any opening.

As a result, StoreDefender™ is built with enhanced features that improve functionality. “The 6” Heavy Duty Bottom Bar is resistant to lifting, and the slats are screwed into the barrel, thwarting attempts to lift the door by overwrapping it at the header. The curtain endlocks are reinforced, helping to keep the door in place even when faced with significant push or pull force, such as that of a crowd surging against the door or heavy impacts,” Bender added.

For increased security against unanticipated intruder attacks, StoreDefender™ can provide automatic protection when paired with the AlarmGard^® closing system. The automatic closing system allows the door to be immediately activated by a building alarm or the push of a panic button.

StoreDefender™ has a robust 18-gauge curtain with continuous windlocks at its guides to keep the door in place, protecting against crowd-force impacts, as well as providing high wind protection. The door can also withstand small tool attacks. Plus, StoreDefender™ is constructed with tamper resistant fasteners to stop attempts to deconstruct the door assembly. It has been tested to resist more than 4,500 pounds of effort to lift 3” and resists more than 2,500 pounds of pull force without exiting the guides.
