Kansas City, MO - In a move demonstrating continued investment in a growing business, BlueScope Buildings North America has announced two strategic staff appointments: Greg Pasley, PhD. as chief operating officer, BBNA, and Christen Funk as president,
Pasley previously served as president of Butler Manufacturing. In the newly created role of chief operating officer, he will oversee safety, sales, marketing, customer service, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain, and conventional services for
BBNA. He will lead Varco Pruden, Butler Manufacturing, and BlueScope Construction.
“As part of the BlueScope family for more than 20 years, Greg brings extensive knowledge of our business and has a history of forging strong connections across the industry,” said Alec Highnam, chief executive, BlueScope Buildings. “His
wealth of experience and outstanding track record of leadership have prepared Greg well to fill this important new role in our company’s growth strategy.”
“My experiences with this company and the valuable relationships I’ve built over the years will serve me well in this new position,” said Pasley. “I look forward to continued collaboration with everyone across the organization
as I step into this new, exciting role.”
Funk joins Butler Manufacturing from Rain Bird Corporation where she served as general manager for the company’s landscape drip business. In her previous role, Funk was credited with growing worldwide sales and profits, increasing manufacturing
capacity and improving the company’s engineering efficiency. Butler looks forward to similar positive impacts on the business and organizational culture under Funk’s leadership.
“We immediately recognized Christen’s strong business results fostered by her ability to engage and develop team members,” said Highnam. “These two executive staffing changes demonstrate our continued investment in growing this
business and establishing an organization that is well positioned for the future,” said Highnam.
“I’m excited to join a company with a focus on growth,” said Funk. “It’s clear that success is rooted in the strong relationships with the network of Butler Builders. I look forward to lending my skills to the continued success
of this legendary brand.”
